Sub boards blow.

Guys,

I realize that some may like the sub boards, but forgive my bitching here, I find it quite annoying.  What really bothers me is that you can't tell if anything is posted in the sub boards unless you drill down into the main ones.  I find that it makes the site harder to navigate.  Providing LESS clicks is the way to go, not adding more.  

Sorry, but I can't stand the sub boards!

I'm not a huge fan of them either but lots of people love 'em

We have a few ideas floating around on how to combat those problems.  
I'm not mad on 'em either, but they are only a new feature, and when you do get the chance to use them on your own Board, you don't have to turn 'em on if you don't want to.

Hmm... the sub boards are gone. Well, maybe they will come back after they are developed a bit more

I can see where they could be usefull.. but here they just get in the way...

Good to see them gone, nice feature though for sites with tonnes of boards

I can't even see where they would be useful. If you have so many boards that you needs multiply nested levels, then probably the topics on your board are so diverse that it would make more sense to have multiple boards.

Besides, they are an absolute pain to navigate, as someone pointed out. I noticed on one MB were they introduced nested levels, that I no longer visited those boards which were nested  - even though I could see there had been activity in them, and even though I had been very active on those same boards previously. But it simply took too long to "drill-down" to find the posts.
