I know the names are different colors in the users online, but what about in the message display and the messageindex display? Just a though, although I know this would be included in Add more membergroups if it was ever released.

What would be cool though is if you can define the colors in your admin center and for specific member groups... instead of having to hard code it... this sounds like a good idea for a mod.

Well of course, but I was just thinking of at least this forum (because I could show off my new colors :P )

That is a thought though.... I'm going to wait and see if anyone picks up (or Godai returns) the add new membergroups mod.

I think this was in the advanced membergroups mod for 1.1.0 but that mod never really worked.  Maybe this is something that should be worked on.  Where is Shawn anyway?

If I get time I'll make a small version mod that'll add the colors to the certain places and fix the colors being hardcoded and allow you to select a diff color for each group. (Inlcuding normal users group.)

skip the small stuff and add in an advanced feature for each user to identify another specified user as XXXX color.

ie, i'd give jedi (anonymous or not) woot green so i can pick out his posts easier (sorta like just looking for gandalf but not everyone uses avatars or multiple users use the same one)

There's an idea... since the other feature will probably be in YSE2 (although that may take a long time) your idea might be better to do first, very cool mod. I doing it, or are you?

You should try php.  Even though it is the most like Perl, many parts of it are also like c++.  Get a good beginning book on it, that's how I learned, and then make some stuff.  Also www.php.net and www.phpbuilder.com are invaluable resources.
