Just need a new option in profile to not show the avatars/signatures of other users to improve speed

Very useful idea :) Some forum pages can have around 50-60 image per page  :)

There was a YaBB 1 Gold mod that did just this. It was scripted by DocDaS (I'm sure I got the upper case/lower case wrong, but hey...) and was very useful indeed. Every user had the option to turn off other users' avatars, signatures, personal texts and some other things like the YaBBC Buttons and the topic summary. I'd love to see that in YaBB SE as well.

Because some people might want to see them, others don't. So it's best to give your users the option to chose. Some users have a fast internet connection, so they don't care. Others might have a slow one, so the avatars and signatures causes the pages to load slooooooooooooooowly for them.

Why not go the full way and convert the whole speed options mod instead of just the avatars? ;D
