As most of you know Smilies SE 1.0 has been out for quite a while, and unfortunitly its full of bugs.
I'm currently working away at version 1.2 which will be a much more efficent version, with a good few new features.
So far, version 1.2 will include:
-> All new Administrative layout
-> Reintroduction of the [LineBreak] feature for non vB style smiley popups!
-> All bugs fixed (duh!)
-> New Double Tabled popup window
-> All code spelling mistakes fixed

Now, I want to know if there is anything you want added. Please make sure what you wanted added isn't specific to your needs.
One more feature I'm thinking of adding is the ability to change the order of smilies (which aren't in the popup). So they can co-ordinate!  ;)

I'm not sure but would three columns be too much? Maybe it could be changed between two and three in the admin section.

Errrr....... well I'd like to express some ideas here but I've only just - today seen a working, well sort of (no smileys included), version of this mod.
I downloaded it, but am now worried about uploading it to my board after what you have said :(

Would it be too much for you to say how your version will work, what we will be able to do with it?

May be I could add suggestions after that, if not, it'll have to be a "why doesn't it do..........." afterwards ;D


[edit] BTW I wasn't too keen on the original smileys being down the side of the Message board rather than their original place above[/edit]

A third table eh? That sounds dodgy! :P lol, but I'll give it a go and see how it turns out if ya like.

Dear God Wistman!
The current version of the smiley hack has numerous bugs. It all works, except the vb popup on/off button which has to be done manually via phpmyadmin. All this is fixed in the next version.
The reason the smilies are on the left is because its a "vb style" smiley addon. vBulletin, the expensive and probably best BB software uses this feature, so I decided to make it for yabb. It got brought over to SE with the smiley hack.
But don't worry! If you don't like the smilies like that you can turn off the add-on hack. ;) In the latest version it is all simple to do.
It will also go under some heavy testing so as to make sure all the bugs have been ironed out.
I don't have an ETA on this versions release I'm afraid, but just today I came across a huge bug! Which meant the smilies wouldn't work right if they weren't in the popup. Again, this is all being fixed now. Phew! So its up to you to wait... ;)

Will it be possible to have The normal smilie row, with the popuip window?
Or will they just get added along the row?

Do you people listen? It's an option to display the smilies popup. I could add the ability to add a [get more] tag after the normal smilies in the normal place too though. That what ya's want?
Just remember, Advanced vB style smilies is completely optional. The following version will be just like the AMS 2.3 mod, but with optional extra's etc. This particular version has a large rewrite involved.  ;)

In my old 'YaBB Gold' board, I installed the "Add Smilies Mod 2.3" from Sniser & dOCda S.

Their admin interface looked damn good (picture after the post). They added the smilies behind the standard ones. I know this is a vB style add-on, but you should give the user the option to select it, whether they are displayed left/popup/normal.
I want the smilies in the row after the other ones. Look at the picture below, you could set a linebreak if it was necessary.

No problem. Actually for this version the linebreak will be reintroduced!  ;) I'm making the add-on completely optional. Also, I *have* spruced up the admin layout too!  ;) Both adding/modifying smilies are done on the one page. But by two different forms. This is because I'm making this as friendly with your mysql server as possible.
BTW, all Smiley settings will now be in the mod settings area.  ;)
