From a webmaster who knows your pain...
Yes, you most definitely do.
And, be careful whom you choose.
I just got dumped by
GO2SEARCH.ORG (a TRULY awful host). Supposedly, I violated their TOS (which mysteriously changed after my site started getting popular).
My suggestion - analyze your needs and make the web hosts bid for your services! It WORKS!!
I discovered a site called "Web Hosting Talk" (
http://www.webhostingtalk.com), and I put in a bid for hosting services there in the "Web Hosting Request" section - where you can actually bid by stating what you want and what you want to pay, and how you want to pay it (i.e., monthly, quarterly, etc.).
Then, sit back and let the offers come to you!
Here is my thread there, where I put in my request:
http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=39016&perpage=15&pagenumber=1That does not include all the PMs I received from a gaggle of web hosts. I finally chose one with whom I am very happy, and for which I pay next to nothing.
I would strongly recommend to ANYONE seeking web hosting that you familiarize yourself with Web Hosting Talk. They actually review web hosts, and you can talk to other webmasters about their experiences. Plus, as a member, you can get customized plan offers that the general public will not, as well as special attention (you don't want to cheese off a bunch of webmasters - tends to be bad for business

)
Anyway, I hope you take a look. It paid off for me! And I do hope this information helps you and other webmasters.
Regards,
Brat.
