Help me get rid of the <br><br> in sigs!

I am going crazy because everyones sig uses two line breaks (<br><br>) instead of one for every line break. It makes signatures look very wrong. Can anyone point out to me where these line breaks are being inserted so I can remove one? Thanks.

I noticed these forums don't have the same problem, was this a bug in 1.0.0 (which I still use) or is it just my boards?

Here in the HTML my sig has a <br> for each line break but in my forums it is always <br><br> which leaves a big gap obviously. I just need to know which file to edit to remove the extra break. Please!

It happens in yabb 1.1.0 as well. I've been looking for what to edit but have not found it yet either. If I do I'll let you know.

Well if that is the case someone here must know how to fix it because this board doesn't have the same problem, just look at our sigs.

its a problem in the UBBC parsing... could u tell me what type of things are in peoples profiles that cause this to happen? or is it all the user Sigs?

Like Snoozer said it is ALL user sigs.

My forums are reg-only, but you can see an example screenshot here...

Look at the signature on my post about half way down the image. It just uses normal line breaks but they come out as double ones in the HTML. Like I said, it is all users sigs that do this not just mine.

I had 1.0 and 1.1.0 installed and in every empty (!) sig was a "[ code ]". I don't think about it anymore - F**k spaceports !!

Well I don't use Spaceports and am very happy with my host. There is obviously a problem in the code somewhere but so far nobody has hinted as to the right direction. Even the bare minimum info would do like which file contains the source that handles such things and I could probably find it from there.

BTW, I later found out (after moving hosts) that the problem is purely host-related. On some hosts an extra <br> gets into the sig, on others it does not.

However on all hosts there seems to be a problem - if you put two line breaks in a sig it comes out as 3 in the sig.
