You haven't set the avatar directory correctly. Make sure your using a system path not a URL.

How exactly do you set the system path?

In other words, what do I enter in for each of the parts?

What I mean is: what should be entered for each part?

/home/httpd/html/myserver/www/community/YaBBImages/avatars

Well from what I see (and it may be different) is that your paths should look like:

/insidergba/folder_you_installed_to

so perhaps:

/insidergba/yabbse

Might be helpful if you post what you have for the paths in your Settings.php file now.

fixed, but another problem

I fiddled with it and thought of this finally which worked:
./YaBBImages/avatars

but here's something thats interesting

2: fopen("./Settings.php","w") - Read-only file system
(/Admin.php ln 1424)

pretty common error (that occurs when saving new settings) until I say this, it occurs very randomly and if I press back and i resubmit the changes it will go through without error. Is there something wrong here? I have no idea why its random and I find it annoying.
