how can i test templates offline?

how can i test templates offline? it gets pretty tiresome with a slow connection and i don't want my users seeing me testing out new templates.

Use one of the template generators (sticky thread). There is also an offline generator done by Arab_Me.

Or... view one of your site pages in your browser, then View Source, then cut and paste into your favorite editor. With that, you can at least play with the CSS portion and see how the colors work.

Once you've settled on it, double check it in other yabb-generated pages (Category/Forum page, messages in a Forum, and individual thread) to get a better idea of the color combos on the 3 main pages.

Or, install another copy of yabbse to a diff't folder and test off of it...
