Archive Mod?

Is there a mod available to archive off posts that are older than a set period of time? This would integrate into the main BB so that if someone wanted to, they could search the archives for it.

I know something like this is available in a UBB board, does YABB have something similar?

That's not a bad idea - important posts could be archived, and therefore not lost, and yet not slow your forum down.

I'll put it on my ideas list, maybe I'll make it after 1.5.1 is out.

May I suggest that instead of a mod this be added as a core function of the board? A lot of the other forums have something like this in place and I would imagine a lot of other forum admins would want this function.

Have you noticed that Joseph Fung is an administrator hence he will probably getg it released with the next SE version (even if it has a major internal overhaul  )

LOL I guess it is a little unfair how so many of my silly mods get pushed in as core functionality <cough>karma!</cough>

Anyway, this isn't likely to become a core feature until 2.0

On the brightside, it doesn't have much impact on the database or sourcefiles.

I just uploaded my beta of this mod.  Testing would be appreciated, but PLEASE don't try to test it on your live site.

i only got one I do all my testing on it (lol)
I try to make it as comprehensive as i can first, most of my mods I self test first then release them here as done unless I know its got bugs
