Proxy banning mod

I have heard from jeff that there is a mod where you can ban troublemakers even if they are using a proxy server. Is this right? and if so could someone please give me the url of where i need to go to set it up.

Inktomi webcaches arent that widely used... you need to add HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR to get the squid and netapps caches....

well ive installed the mod no problem, if this works sylvester you are my god lol

Doesnt work for me.... My ISP(freeserve) uses netapps caches.. Heres a snippet of my environment variables

HTTP_VIA = 1.1 webcacheM05 (NetCache NetApp/5.2.1R1D9)
HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR = 62.25.141.40
PATH = /usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin
REMOTE_ADDR = 195.92.194.15

that 'mod' has been modified. it also looks for the $HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR environment variable. could you test that, please?

I found a thing that forges the HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR thing too.

I think pests are too smart to get rid of.
