Nono ...  ;) That's not what I mean

Whether you use absolute or relative links, the links *in* the forum will work. However, the links in the emails that the forum automatically sends out to members are wrong.

For example, if you're using relative links ...
The forum might send a notification email to a member saying that a thread located at /forums/index.php?blahblahblah... has been updated ...... instead of sending a link to http://www.techtalkforums.com/forums/index.php for example.

Make sense?

I tried playing around with Subs.php tonight but it looks like a no go.

$boardurl and $siteurl (I *think* those are the variable names) apply to both forum links as well as e-mail links.

Anyone know how to get it to display the full URL (e.g. http://www.techtalkforums.com/forums/index.php) in emails but relative urls (e.g. /forums/index.php) on the forum itself?

you would need another field for the actual url or I think you can get it from phpinfo.  I would have to look.  May take a look tommorrow.

I was able to make a plain html archive of my last YaBB using HTTrack Website Copier from http://www.httrack.com

I like to keep archives :)

One tip - you  might want to reduce the connections to 1 or 2 when you run it, or your server might have a heart attack  ;)

Not an ultimate solution, but a useful workaround for medium to long term archiving.
