[mod-request] Display-name on/off

Can somebody make a mod to change the Display-name option for users to off? I would like to turn off this option on my board.

Not quite sure what you mean, like admins turning off the option to put in a display name, or each individual user being able to turn off whether it displays the display name or the username for people.

To be able to remove the whole display name itself from the board..  not give the users the option to use it.  People on my board are constantly messing with their display names to the point where nobody knows who anybody is.. its annoying  Is there a file I can just edit to take the text box out all together in when users try to modify their profile?

Thats Simple  Im Nott At Home Right Now But Just Edit Profile.php Or Just Disable It For Good  

in profile look for function edit profile there should be a line where it would say memsettings

• #=number designated from a query

above the function just find which one it is then remove it from the file  

then you could delete the row from db like this  $request=mysql_query('DELETE [row name] FROM {$db_prefix}members where 1')


i think this right then [rowname might be username or reanlName i think not sure but try it

It's actually a column, not a row, and it's realName that he wants.  It's not as simple as that though. DELETE would delete that user, not the display name thing. Ignore McGuire this time

Military Been In 4 Years I Am A fulltime Aircraft Mechanic,partime school student,parttime programmer    i work on very big jets similar to the civillian plane called the md-11 thats all i can tell you .. its clasified

ok so you have to run a query to remove the msn column.  No biggy
