Error while applying the MOD

I'm trying to install that smilies mod and I can't get it to work.

I get this error:

2: fopen("./Packages/modification.mod","wb") - Permission denied

Anyone know wtf it mean exactly?

Check the readme.html file that came with SE and look at the safe-mode install instructions (even if you aren't on safe mode or installed it without) and see the CHMODDING table, chmod the yse files as instructed. That should fix it.
