Ok I noticed that noone is going to mess with this mod until 1.4. I am going to make an attempt at this mod. This will be my first mod but I have the perl version. I will see what I can do.

1.4 is probably going to be released today or tomorrow or sometime around then. So I will be beginning this mod really soon.

Besides if you make it off of 1.3 there are high chances of it being incompatible with 1.4

Ok. I didn't relize 1.4 would be out so soon. That's kewl. I thought it might be a few months still so I was going to TRY to come up with something that would work for now.

We are testing the final release right now, if everything goes smooth 1.4 might be released today.

Kewl deal. I just downloaded 1.4. Probably won't get it installed until tomarrow evening. Gotta crash. Long day tomarrow.

If there are any network guys in here I could use some advice.

I describe the problem and my proposed solution. If any of you windows 2000 literate peoples can look at it and tell me if it is logical that would be great.

I had a hard time running the mod with BoardMod. I did get it all in though by hand. One problem I did have though is when I picked to password protect a board I would set the password. When you actually try to log onto that board it says that the password is wrong.

I'm so sorry. I forgett my editor convert tabs to spaces. So you get problems with the original files from yabbse 1.3.1 . I edited the alloweduser.mod so the installation via BoardMOD should work. I have fix the BUG with the Password. The error was in the selectallowedusers.php - just replace the old one.

I have updated the download link.


You have to install the new alloweduser.mod because of the changes I made.


IMPORTANT:
Before you uninstall the old alloweduser.mod do this:
Search for these lines in BoardIndex.php:

And add after the two } the chars  // Added by Allowed User MOD

Save both files and uninstall alloweduser.mod via Boardmod. If you don't do these changes BoardMOD will delete the wrong } and your BoardIndex.php will be demaged.

The better way is to have a backup of the BoardIndex.php
