Flood Control Not Working?

I apologize if this is stupid or already noted, but I couldn't find anything in a search.  I just had a situation where a malicious poster flooded a board with about 60 posts over a span of a couple of minutes--repeadedly clicking the "post" button, I assume.

The thing is, I have the minimum time between two postings from the same IP set at 5 minutes, and these were definitely from the same IP address.  Has anyone else seen something like this, or is it a bug?

Are you shure it is 5 minutes not 5 seconds?  That box uses seconds so you would have had to convert 5 minutes to 300 seconds.

Ouch... seconds.  Do I ever feel stupid now.  Thanks for the tip!

[Note to self:  programmers never measure time in minutes--you should know that by now.  And check the code before asking stupid questions.]
