An Error Has Occurred!

When im trying to send private msg to some user who has letters like Ä and Ö in user name, yabb says
 
An Error Has Occurred!

Mhnen could not be messaged. The usernames are either invalid, or they have you on their ignore list.

 

 
user name is Mähönen, but yabb is trying to send it to Mhnen
 
Is there any fix for that? Thanks.
