You can execute php commands in your template.php if you put them into brackets <? ... ?>. So you could include a php file that is creating your menu.

ahhh well thats a start...

I've been transfering my site over from a framed navigation to a ssi navigation.... all the main pages are working not too bad but I've been trying to get my message board.. and my directory engine (which is cgi) to do the same...

for the cgi directory  I make a text file with the html and upload it as a text file... (mynavigator.txt)

I then  declare the text file as a variable... in the global section of the template file and call it anywhere using

<%mynavigator%>

I take it the php equivilent is <?mynavigator?>

and if so where do I declare that?

thanks !!

ok maybe I'm dumb... but here's the script so far...

I changed the extension of my original ssi file to php... uploaded it to the same directory as the template.php and then added <?mynavigator.php?>

I saved to remote and refreshed...

no difference....

any ideas ? hehe

thanks :)

Hi I eventually kinda worked it out but the java script wont appear to work... on mouse over it keeps says its expecting an object at line 0

on the template.php file
<? require/home/3283/planet/www.3dhomeworld.com/public_html/yabbse/mynavigator.php"); ?>

located here:
http://www.3dhomeworld.com/yabbse/index.php

could someone tell me if java script is supported in an include.. and if so why it could be giving me that error? thanks
