Xoops Mod

I am currently working on a Yabb SE Module for Xoops. I am still in the early stages, but I have managed to tie the two user tables together and work. I have setup a universal registration (since it uses one table) It actually was not too hard since Yabb Functions are easy to change. I am using the standard Xoops user table. Nothing really is going to have to change on the Xoops side since I am buiding this as a module that plays by Xoops rules. Yabb SE is actually not too hard to bend around what Xoops does. With any luck there will only a few files that need to be changed on Yabb SE to make this work. That will make it fairly easy to update the module as newer versions of Yabb SE comes out. I am also going to be able to put the administrations piece with-in Xoops admin section. Hopefully within a month I should have a pre-view available.

I have tried two ways that have both worked. One is a conversion script that acts as a middle man for Xoops and Yabb SE (probably wont go this way). Two is making the changes in Yabb itself. This way is probably the way I am going.

If you have any suggestions or know of any pitfalls that I may encounter please let me know.

Yeah it kind of goes both ways. I posted here because several people have been asking for something similiar.

And yes you are correct "Well Written" is exactly the reason I am going the way I am. I have rarely seen better written code (especially for free). Xoops is also very well written, but not as easy to bend to my needs. I really do not want to use another forum, because as far as I am concerned it does not get any better than Yabb SE.
