whenever i send a private message or delete one it always says i'm logged out and "Instant Messages is only for members" (the messages work but the message is annoying)

also the same happens when i edit my template or someone elses profile or start a new topic.

can someone please help?

One of my member reported similar problems today but I tried using his account after he gave me his password and it worked fine. I first thought it was a cookie problem but he cleared his cookies and that didn't help. Don't what was wrong with his login.

one of the administrators must know what the problem is ??


i know someone else with the same message board and the same happens to them

...plus, it happens when i use other computers too

As far as I'm concerned, it's a cookie problem.  I've never run into that probem on a few boards I've used...

Check the FAQ board about not being able to stay logged in for suggestions.  Delete your cookies, give them unique names, lower IE security settings, some things to try.

my users had the same problems
so i've tried to change the name of cookies
and now i have the same problem too
i am the admin but "my" forum logs me out!!!!
i've tried to remove all the protectios of ie6, to delete all my cookies, but nothing has changed
probably it's a YabbSE bug or a host problem (mine is lycos uk, but  i have the same problem with lycos fr)

It seems to be lycos, I too have had that problem and gave up trying to solve it.  Maybe on the FAQ board "Why can I not stay logged in?" there should be an amendment.........."Are you using lycos?"  ;D

I think Lycos passes info back and forth to weird server names.  But I don't suggest them at all to anyone.
