I guess it does the same when going into PHPMyAdmin and selecting all the tables and then choosing With selected -> Optimize tables :)

It's like defragging you hard disk - you need to do it occasionally  :)

I think it should be built into the admin control panel for future versions ;)

Could someone give me tips how to efficiently protect my PHPMyAdmin so that no outsiders can get messing with it? :) I already did the .htaccess and other stuff the install file suggested. Anything else?

I had another major problem, an important thread was refusing to load... I just took out the chunk of code which checks the image sizes and it loads fine now. I didn't need that anyway, not bothered how big the images are that my members post.

Yeah some people may want to disable that as it even checks siganture images and can be quite intensive.

Ouch - quite processor intensive - perhaps store in the database - perhaps it should only check the size if the avatar has changed?
