1.3.1 - Error when updating profiles

Hi,

I'm got quite a big problem with my forums, and I need any assistance you can offer.

First problem :

I get the following error every time a new user tries to register :

An Error Has Occurred!

2: Empty delimiter
(/usr/home/a/t/atonal/public_html/cgi-bin/forums/Sources/Register.php ln 186)

A similar error also occurs when a current user attempts to modify their profile :

I've upgraded from 1.0.0 to 1.3.0 and to try and fix the above errors, added the bug fix to make it 1.3.1.  I've checked to make sure the files are CDModded correctly.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm afraid so.  The problem appeared before I applied the patch.  Everything was working fine for a week or so after the upgrade.

Post the line or two before the error, are there preg_replace or preg_match statements around there?

Nothing to run off really.  The error just seems to have appeared from nowhere as all was running smoothly for about a week after the update to 1.3.0.

I think he means to print a couple of lines of the code (Profile.php) where the error is telling you what line it appeared on.

Lines 536, 537, 538 in Profile.php for example.

Um, perhaps a silly question but I'm a noobie

Is there an easier way for getting the requested lines other than downloading profile.php and counting down all the lines in notepad?

I'll do it if there's nothing else available, but it would be nice to know if there is.

Yep that's what I meant.  However, try adding a reserved name to your reserved names list (in the Admin area) and then try it.

As for line numbers, try Editplus, it gives you line numbers - no need to count

Roofle!  Problem solved.

Apparently, YaBBSE doesn't like any reserved names that use special characters - I think it was <> that was the problem.
