Where can I edit text links

Currently the text links say:

"Mark topics as read for this board", "start new topic" and "Post new poll"

So it doesnt take up all that space I would like to change the text links to say:

"Mark topics read" "New Topic" and "New Poll" but not sure where in the index.php to do this

They are pulled from the english.lng file, look near the bottom of it.
