Site down, WEIRD situation...PLEASE Help

Any help on this would be great, as my whole site is now disabled!

This morning I was creating a new setup of yabbse on a diff domain, so i went into the cpanel of my current forum to see how to configure the mysql setup...

I viewed my current setup, but I made/saved no changes that I'm aware of.  When i exited, my current site was down.  I viewed it about 5 mins before, so the problem is somehow connected to me in my cpanel...

I'm begging!  If anyone has any clue what happened, I'm ALL EARS!!!  my site is http://www.psychopathicforums.com/yabbse/

I've ftp'd up backup copies of everything and nothing is helping


and this is what's appearing at the top...

The error lies in your database settings.  Make sure that they are correct in Settings.php.  Looks like the user may be wrong or the database name.

I totally agree, but according to the settings.php and my cpanel's mysql db's page....they're the same...

okay, i might have solved that problem...however a few more still exist...same situation, you think?

Update...my host went through and repaired the database, though he said he doesn't think anything was wrong with it in the first place...

He thinks something in the scripting is incorrect.

So my question is this...if I've restored from multiple backups of my yabbse files and none of them are working...what are my options?

Note: at first I was getting sql connection errors, then I modified settings php, and now i'm not getting them anymore...
