Advanced Admin Features

I would love to see some extra admin features within 1.4 so further develop my forum ColorGuardWORLD

1. Within 'Edit boards' - Option to sort topics by newest first (already available) or order alphabetically A,B C, etc. I have several boards which I wish to use both features.

2. Within 'Edit Boards' - Option to select who can post on the board, either a group or specific users or both. The remainder of members or guests can just view topics within the board.

3.   Within 'Categories' to have colapsable sub-categories. For example:

main cat     sub cat        Boards             Topics
Area           USA            Ohio                 Big HS etc
                                   New York          Small HS,
                   UK             England           Concord etc
                                    Ireland             Tallaght etc            

I know this may be a biggy but would be nice!

4. Within 'Boards' - Option to specify groups as moderators as well as members

What do you guys think? Any helpers? Also what's the best place to start learning the basic code?

Can anyone help me in modifying code for certain boards. I really wish to add another 5/6 boards sorted alphabetically. Thanks in advance. T.
