Search username?

What am I doing wrong?  If I go to search and type a username into the username box, nothing ever comes up.  If I put a "*" in the "search for" box, then it brings up everything, ignoring the username field.

All I wanted to do was find all the messages that I posted.

"search by user" returned no results, so I guess I'm the first to ask this?  Honestly, the search fuction on Yabb is completely beyond me.  Sometimes I can't believe the searches that return nothing.    :-\

If you click on your profile icon, at the bottom you can see view the last * posts from this user, that is how you can view your old posts.

In the search screen, you can specify a user but you need to specify a term to search as well...

Thanks Jeff.

Why does it bring up posts by people other than the user specified though?  I mean, if I put my name plus something in the search field, it'll bring posts by other people.

Jeff,

Sorry to beat this to death.  I'm not seeing that option in my profile, just required info, additional info, preferences...  What am I missing?

Thanks.

Click my name to view my profile.  Now scroll down to where it says additional information and a link to send me an instant message.

Below that it says show last 10 posts from this user. :)

 :o

I guess I'm just difficult.  I definitely see what you are talking about on your profile.  Not on mine though.  I suppose I could log out, then go to my profile to find my other posts...
