IIS 5.0 Problems
« on: March 02, 2002, 01:27:38 PM »

I'm having problems running YaBB on a PC on my network...

The server is running Windows 2000 Professional, IIS 5.0, PHP 4.1.1 and the latest stable release of mySQL. I can use either a command prompt, YaBB's installer or winmysqladmin to create databases and tables, but as soon as I run index.php the system just restarts. Any ideas as to what could be causing the problem? It won't be a lack of power as the PC is of a high specification...

Just ran phpMyAdmin, and again it crashed. It's definitely not the PHP, but mySQL.

Not that I'm aware of. For example when I opened phpMyAdmin the page loaded then almost instantly the PC rebooted.

I edited the config and took out the user and pass and it didn't reboot, but then it couldn't see any databases (which I had created). Hmm.

I've installed a similar system before, and had no problems... I've set up the services correctly, everything runs fine. I can even execute SQL statements from the mysql command line interpreter, such as SELECT statements. But when I use PHP code to access it the computer crashes...

Does anyone else have any ideas? I checked the mySQL service entry in case it was set to restart under problems and it was set to Do Nothing... so it's not that  :-\
