accidentally erased admin permissions

I accidentally changed my member group position from administrator to a lower one. Now I can't go and change it back. Is the only way to become a administrator again by reinstalling?

yes and no....

if you know how to manipulate the database then you can re-instate yourself.

If you don't have database access, I wrote a file to restore Admin rights to someone before so I can send it to you

Ok, if you need it, the file is here http://www.yabb.info/adminrestore.zip

It's a small download, put it in the same directory as Settings.php and then call adminrestore.php in your browser.

Fill in the memberName for the user and press Do it!. Will change the memberGroup back to Administrator.

DELETE the file or move it when you're done. If someone finds it there, they can use it to change their rights as well...
