OK Boss :-[.

I know why, but I talked with Jeff about it in the IRC-Chat and he told me that below 4.0.3 you can't use every feature of the board (attachements for example).

I got the problem with Spaceports (4.0.2) and I got a bunch of errors and fixed them manually, but there are still some I can't kill. They have safe-mode - as if it isn't enough with the errors....

I say no.  We don't want to go backwards, we want to move forward.  People who have hosts that want to remain in the early versions should consider moving.

We TRY to make it work with early versions but unfortunately, I know I'm not going to bend over backwards to make something work in earlier versions of PHP.

Any host I have ever been on has gladly updated their system software at my request (when it be the free technologies like Perl, PHP, etc).

See if your host can at least upgrade to 4.0.6 if they don't want to go all out with 4.1.1

Well I hope it doesn't come across the wrong way.  I understand your issue and while we try to make it work across a broad range of versions, we also didn't want to go too far back :(

Cynda,

Make sure your server paths are correct.  Also make sure that all of the permissions are set correctly.  Remember, they have to be a 777 to work.
