How to increase size of posts

Any help would be appreciated on this.

When posting, I often get:
Your message is too long.

Is it a simple matter to just increase
the size of the text field - I know how to do that.


Will I lose my other posts, if I increase field size.

in your settings.php file edit this value $MaxMessLen

or search for it in the Forum Preferences and Settings link in the Admin CP
