Is there a way to allow access to read the board as a guest, but not allow the guests to be able to post without first registering ?

The login/register screen is all well and good, but I'd like people to be able to read topics, but not respond unless they have created a user name.

Thanks in advance.  ???

In your Admin Forum Preferences and Settings. uncheck the option: Disallow guests from doing anything but login or register? and Enable Guest Posting?
Then they can read but not post.

You will just have to remove the cross in the "enable guest posting" if you check off the other, you will have to be logged in or you cant view the forum
