I have looked for the answer to this and haven't found it.
Installed successfully and converted my YaBB 1G. Now I get "Forbidden- You don't have permission to access /cgi-bin/yabbse/ on this server." Yes the directory is CHMODed to 777. Do I need to CHMOD other files, and to what?

I had this earlier.... It's all to do with the MySQL, You need to ask your ISP to turn it on.

And then for the rest of the install you will need a username and password for the MySQL.

Then, you should just get stuck on the :

Warning:  Failed opening 'forum/Sources/Load.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/www/themoono/yabbse/forum/index.php

Like I am at the moment...

Thanks, but no, I figured out the MySQL thing and got it working, so I have YaBB SE installed and converted...I just can't access the thing, and it won't let me CHMOD the files either.
An idea though: on my YaBB1G, a couple times the CHMOD changed somehow, so I downloaded the whole board, deleted it from the server, then re-uploaded it and re-CHMODed. That worked...maybe I'll try it with this...but WHERE can i find a listing of what CHMOD these files should be set?

OK I tried downloading and re-uploading, to no avail. Still "Forbidden" and cannot CHMOD files.
