my mail program

i'm using windows nt as a server and i installed the yabb se but the mail program doesn't work. What do i need to do?

windows servers don't have the *nix sendmail program.

You will have to get your hands on a SMTP server.

do you know where can i register the smtp server (sure, for free) i'm poor.

Most people are poor, or like me, tight, try using your isps, but they might ban you from using thier service if they find out!

Most NT servers have an SMTP server installed already. try using localhost as your server and then the mail program should work.

MY SERVER, i didn't use any service. I use my computer to be a "sever" but where is my mail program or i have to install it?

i have win 2k, and found a shareware sendmail program(why its free for unix, and 49$ for win, well open source is another story.......) anyway, i tried the test perl script which comes w/ the program, and it works.  but when i try to fix the encrypted pw problem, or test e-mailing the members, nothing.  

well i know very little about perl and php, but in the Y1G there is a Net::SMTP option as mailer type.  i also have another mail program which is a COM+ application called "Geocel.Mailer".  it works fine in Y1G, but not in YaBBSE, maybe it only works w/ perl, i haven't a clue
