help! not allowed to access!

hey well i just instaled my yabb se and it keeps on saying i am not able to access my admin center! this is the error

An Error Has Occurred!

You are not allowed to access this section
 
can someone help?

have you tried chmod the folder to 777, the one where you installed your yaBB SE ?

Nope im not staying loged in on any other page
and i tried chmodin the folder to 777

Chmodding the folder to 777 won't affect this problem - I have no idea where that suggestion came from.

it came from me Joseph. I had that problem when I first installed. so I chmod 777 then all worked ok, then I chmod it back to 755. it was just something that worked for me thats all. and I have know Idea why.

Hi I know this Topic is a little old, but I am having the same problem as described, everything works dandy except for the fact I canot login to my admin area..

It's weird cos when I switch the settings to maintence mode it recognises me as an administrator but not outside this mode ....

What can I do to fix this
