The best way is to download BoardMod!

It comes with instructions, but basically, you just need to copy your YaBB files from your server to your desktop, download any mods you want, put the file into the BoardMod's mod folder and run it, then upload the altered files back to your server...

You'll get the hang of it pretty quickly! ;)
