YaBB SE Version: 1.5.4
PHP Version:
MySQL Version:
Server Platform: Windows
Link to Forum: http://www.insideofme.net/board

Problem Description:
I know how to transfer all the html etc files to my new location but what about the db itself? I know there's an option at the admin centre to backup the db - shall I need that? I don't have PhpMyAdmin should I get that? The backup script by Greg Robson isn't up anymore at least not on that url which is given at http://www.yabbse.org/community/index.php?thread=7224  ::)
Does someone have like super super easy instructions cause I find these things way too difficult  :-\

I would recommend the first thing you do is backup the database.

Then, I would recommend that you get phpMyAdmin.  It is a powerful tool that may offer this option.

I am not sure if what you are requesting is possible, but if it is, phpMyAdmin will most likely have the option.

Jeff. :)

Yes it's possible and it's even pretty straightforward!

Note that SSH provides a useful alternative to phpMyAdmin (particularly for larger DBs), although you should certainly ask for or install phpMyAdmin anyway if you don't already have it.
