Karma selectable?

Hi there,
How easy/hard/impossible do you think it would be to edit the Karma mod to be selectable. Like how the censored words list can be disabled for a user from their profile...

Option 1. Karma is turned off just for that user. They are still able to smite and applaud others, but they have turned it off for themselves, so it doesn't display in their profile or on any posts. (Even if the smite and applaud options were still *there* if the actual Karma amount didn't display for that person who has disabled it).

Option 2. The person who turns off Karma is not able to see any Karma on any person's posts or profiles. They are unable to see the smite/applaud buttons and the Karma does not appear in their posts (no one is able to smite/applaud them either).

Actually, in YaBB SE you *cannot* turn word censoring off.

Oops, that's a mod then... but my question still stands even if the example is a bad one.
