There should be a mod for karma that lets you have more control over who can smite and applaud. Normally you can just choose certain groups or a minimum post number before you can give karma. I think there should be a system that lets you approve or revoke karma privileges from certain users.

I mean, there are certain people I just don't want to get to the 500 posts mark because it sucks when they can start smiting all the responsible users. And they get there eventually, and then what to do? Set their post count back? That really seems to piss them off.

I hope to see it! Using the groups feature to set permissions just doesn't offer enough flexibility. I would like to give karma permissions on an individual basis. There are some users I never want to see get access to the karma system.
