How can I create transparent tiles? I feel so STUPID asking this question... I have looked through many graphic programs and can't seem to find one that can. Paint on Windows ME can, but I have XP. Microsoft Image Editor can too, but I don't have it. Anybody know of another one, that's free, or has a free trial other than PSP?

also > is it possible to convert to gif without losing image quality?  ???

There are tons of graphics programs having a free trial. Just download any...

If its only one image you need a transparent background, you can post it here: just add one fixed color instead of the transparent background, I will then convert the image into a transparent gif for you.

The image might loose quality when converting to gif, as soon it uses more than 256 colors. However this quality loss is often only small.

Nevermind I just uninstalled and reinstalled PSP 8 free trial and it can do it...
