urls for various yabbse pages...

Problem Description:
I'm creating a dropdown menu in a new layout I'm doing instead of using the <yabbmenu> tag.

I've run into some roadblocks.

How can I implement the "logout" and "profile" options into this dropdown?

The other options are simply extensions of the index.php (i.e. index.php?action=register) but "logout" and "profile" have specific user extensions.

Any suggestions?  Thanks!

If you're making a dropdown with PHP, just do session_start and say sesc=' . session_id() . '.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, or vice versa
but, I already have the menu created and the "profile" and "logout" urls are the only ones I can't seem to get working...I'm looking for the url for each of those items.

Does that make sense?

You have to get the session ID from PHP - this is done on purpose so you can't be automatically logged out.

Okay, making some progress

So how do I get it to automatically populate the USERNAME and SESSIONID's?  I plugged in what you had quoted above for the links, so do I need some sort of qualifying code above that so it knows what those variables mean? or how to retrieve them?

I think that's what you had in your first post, but I'm not experienced enough with php to know what to do with that.

Well, let me make it easier on you: Use PHP and include SSI.php.  (unless this is in template.php)

Now, use the following HTML:

thanks, that did the trick for the profile link, but not for the logout.  I'm still getting session check errors...it doesn't seem to be populating with $sc

I am using template.php in this case if that matters, without the call for SSI.php
