unable to be accessed

I have had this problem once before, and reinstalled the script completely but lost all of my data. I am greatly concerned because I cannot keep doing this. I run the script from my site, and then one random day it is unable to be accessed. It seems from the ftp end of things that everything is in its proper place, but the messageboard is not viewable. The website itself remains untouched. I need to know if there is anything I can do to get my board viewable again.

Seems like a DNS issue (to me).... contact your host.

DNS issue with a subdomain, that does not affect my main server? or any other subdomains, for that matter? ...and repeatedly, in different directories?

See, I run a DNS server myself.  For each subdomain, you have a new entry.  And, the directories off that subdomain only work if it's set correctly.

Neither Opera nor IE can load that URL.  Do you have an alternate one that is like...

That's the exact problem
That URL, all versions of that URL, and all files under that URL of the subdomain /board cannot be accessed.
I don't know why. But it only happens with the board.
I really don't know what to do. I can ask about the DNS, but I'm not sure how much that would help. Any other ideas, or is there any other information I can provide that would help?

Can you provide a phpinfo?  Just upload a file like this: (extenstion: php)

You'll have to make the file, and no you aren't stupid.... I'm the one who is. (for being REALLY vague.  D'oh.)

Open up Notepad and make a new file.  Paste this in as the files contents:

<?php phpInfo();?>

And save it with the filename "phpinfo.php" (quotes included.), then upload it.... and give me the link to it.

The file just tells me basic stuff about your PHP configuration.  I'm thinking either old version, session misconfiguration, or possibly something else.

But, I'm not sure.  (that's why I asked for a link to the file.)
