Quick question on adding news to main page...

I have been using an include statement to have posts from a specific board show up on the main page of my website and it works fine.  What I want to do is set it up so when there is a post on the "Announcements" board and that in turn appears on the main page, I only want it to show say the first 5 lines of it and put a "read More" at the bottom so that the entire post doesn't wind up on the main page but only the first little bit of it.

Is that possible??

News.php, find:
  $news_body = DoUBBC($row['body']);

Add immediately after:
  if (strlen($news_body) > 500)
  {
     preg_match('/(.{0,500})(?:<|\z)/s', $news_body, $match);
     $news_body = $match[1] . '<i>...</i>';
  }

Something like that.....

Thanks bud, worked like a charm...  I actaully found after I posted a similar solution and between the two I got exactly what I wanted.  Thanks for the help!!
