I want add some download center into my YabbSE forum.
There exists some Mod to apply these feature??
Any suggestions to add download center into YaBBSE

This belongs in mod ideas.

What you are asking for is a popular feature in most portals.

I would recommend looking into something like pfaBB.

Before this gets moved... PFabb, whatever is going on over there.. is a joke.  You go to register and it never mails you your password. You go to lost password and it says that this function is disabled. So effectivly your not able to login at all or download pfabb.

  Just to let you know the reason that there may be some problems getting a new username and password on the Pfabb site, they had some problems with a kid hacking the site and stealing other peoples usernames, passwords and admin privelege's.  Michele has been working to solve the problems, but this kid has been using exploits in the Yabb files to do it.  Pfabb is great if you're looking for a portal to use Yabb and the problems getting on their site should be fixed soon.

I've also fixed the Reminder.php so that those of you that forgot your password can now get a new one emailed to you.

I've had to disable guest posting because of the hacker - he likes a lot of 4 letter words, and uses anonymous IPs so I can't ban them all. That's also why I changed it to email a password, since the hacker doesn't want to give out a valid email either.

Basically I've stopped the hacking, but not the harrassment, so you all will just have to bear with us for a while.

Hmm... you sure that's the right mod you wanted to link to? All he does is register a new account, does some nasty, vulgar posting, then deletes the account when he's done (he thinks I can't track the IP then). The next night, he comes by and does it again.

Having to add 6 random letters won't stop him from that... requiring a valid email and disabling guest posting will.

Right now I just disabled Reminder if $user=me, this way normal folks can still use it.

I like the way it's done in the Completed Mods fourm, you can just create a Downloads forum in your BB and post threads with links to the files... works nice and it's easy, you can do it right away with what you already have
