I am trying to install yabbse_1-5-1RC1B45.
I found out from my host that they have mySQL and php.
I successfully uploaded the install in ascii and the .ya in binary.
It's step 2 -> 3 that is giving me problems. I followed all the instructions, and it gave me a Can't connect to the server error:
Warning: Unknown MySQL Server Host . . . on line 351
Warning: MySQL Connection Failed: Unknown MySQL Server Host . . . on line 351
Cannot connect to database server with given data!
Please check the information you provided, and then try again.
Ok, so I checked. It looked like all was in order, but I contacted my host anyway. My host says it works fine for them!
So....I must be entering some information wrong...even though I'm cutting and pasting the exact username/pwd combination that I asked for (and which my host said they set up).
Have I given you enough information to give me a clue what to try next?
