Sigh.

My host has PHP in guddam Safe Mode, which makes the User Profile page go ape$#1t after the ICQ/AIM/YIM etc. section of the page. I get this error:

2: opendir() [function.opendir]: SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is 2542 is not allowed to access /home/customers/nakokulma/public_html/keskustelu owned by uid 0
(/home/customers/nakokulma/public_html/keskustelu/Sources/Profile.php ln 216)

Is there anything I can do? YaBB version in question is 1.5.1 RC45.

Check your path statements, make sure that they're all looking at

/home/customers/nakokulma/public_html/keskustelu/

And adjust the last directory as needed.  Don't use any ../'s in path names, it should be explicit paths.

Also, make sure that you did upload all files as user 2542, and not root (I'm assuming that user2542 is "nakokulma").

-Erm, what do you mean with 'path statements'? And where are they situated?

-I uploaded all files as the same user (with the only FTP user name I have, which is indeed "nakokulma"). The only difference I can remember is, that I created the directory 'keskustelu' (the main YaBB directory) at a different time than the others - I then had to delete its contents and upload them again. After that the installer worked fine.

Under ADMIN > Forum Preferences and Settings.  Check your path statements in there.  Make sure they're starting from /home and go all the way through to your forum's directory.

-The paths are all just fine, also without the trailing / (well, I tried it with it, too). The error persists.
