some people complain that they can't find anymore topics from the old forum. so they have cgi-bin/yabb link and could enter it into a converter and get the link of the yabbse...
I don't think it's possible, but wanted to ask if some gurus know. thanks.

Not really, YaBB uses the time posted as the id of the topic while YaBBSE uses a incrimented id. So you can't get a topic id from the old YaBB since it doesn't have a "topic id" like YaBBSE does.
