Can someone design a "Now Playing" mod like the one at http://metalcrypt.bravepages.com#nowplaying? The one at that address is for phpBB. I am using Boardnation's hosted board, which is YABB SE. If someone could develop one like that for YABB SE, I would be greatful. My board is at http://users.boardnation.com/~oldiesmann.

personally, id be too lazy to fill that in each of my posts :P
could be done by editing post.php, display.php, (maybe load.php too), and add another column in msg table

It is not currently possible to install mods on boardnation boards. ::)

I know that. I don't have a boardnation board anymore (well, actually I do, but I've got my own now). As for the being too lazy comment, the way it's set up on phpBB, it's an optional thing. You don't have to fill it in if you don't want to. Anyway, my boardnation board won't be around much longer... I've moved to http://forum.oldiesmann.us

So... does that mean you're interested in making the mod for me? I don't know much about PHP or MySQL so I'm not able to do it myself. The phpBB version is pretty interesting... it requires editing 10 files...

I guess this means nobody's interested in doing this? I don't have anywhere near enough programming experience to do this on my own (I know BASIC, some C and some C++, as well as a little HTML and CSS, but that's about it).

If you know any C++... PHP shouldn't be too hard.

Take a few minutes to stare at some of the code... mind you, it's really sloppy in some places.

The main thing that's confusing me (other than figuring out where to insert a new table in the MySQL database) is that phpBB has a few "template" files (.tpl) that have to be edited in addition to the other php files. I know that you would definitely need to edit index.php, english.lng, post.php and display.php, and possibly printpage.php and search.php as well.

i think u only need to edit: Post.php, Load/Display.php, english.lng and add a column in messages table

search.php only if you want to make the field searchable ;D

i think there is no need to change index.php
