In the convertor you have it e-mail each member a new random password.  This not only solves the password issue but also reminds some of your inactive users to visit your forum again.

Guys,

It would be no problem to have the users sign up again or email them a password.  The messages are the most important for sure.

Luckily, they are the easiest to convert....

Polls might be annoying, however...

Okay,

Here is the deal.  I have NO polls or anything like that, I have messages, members, and private messages.  Like I said, the members could change their passwords or whatever.  So that should be relatively easy right?

I am soooooo fed up with vbulletin, it has crashed the server two times in a row over the last couple of days and I need to change it fast, I already have YABBSE 1.4.1 installed and waiting for a converter.  Man, I AM DESPERATE  :'(

I wrote a quick and dirty yet functional converter that could use some TLC is anyone is interested...

It imports the members, boards, messages, threads, and instant messages...

It could use some work though and if anyone has a vB and SE running it could use some testing...

Talk to the people at vb about it, it isn't our responsibility to help you leave YaBBSE. The converter mentioned in the thread is to turn vb into yabbse not the other way around.
