Is it possible to have a login of a board member elsewhere on the my site other than in the board itself? Also using the cookies, is it possible to have an authorise code on certain pages, that are only available to members?

In my ssi_examples.shtml and .php I have numerous lines of the following error:
Warning: SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is 15 is not allowed to access /home/sites/site2/web/vmplay/forum owned by uid 113 in /home/sites/site2/web/vmplay/forum/SSI.php on line 52Is there something wrong?

In that case, you will have to do the SQL yourself - you are in SAFE MODE.

Not unless you host yourself, can persuade your host to turn it off or change to a host that doesn't impose it! ::)

I've contacted my hoster, and been told that Safe Mode is active and will remain active.
Is there anyway round this, has anyone written any php for what I'm looking for?
