Except that when a member is deleted all their posts are set to being made by a guest.

Then all postings with the membername has to change from member id -1 to the old member id! easy with a good script!

so did I when some idiot deleted himself by accident... Running this in phpmyadmin should do the trick

UPDATE yabbse_messages SET id_member = xxx WHERE postername = 'BOB';
Obviously id_member is the member ID number of the person and BOB is the username...

And if it messes up dont blame me...

Oh, you might wanna apply the members cant delete themselves mod too ;)

sorry, had to dig this one up again  :)

just to refresh myself, or see if anything has changed since I did this the last time...

I'm going through the members db right now and I can't find the deleted person's entry any more...I thought I had to the find that, and then use that id number and convert their new acct to that number?

Where can I find the old accts' id number?

Or, do i only need to use the id of the new acct with the actual name of the old one?  I'm guessing that's the way to do it?

i found her OLD id and it's -1 according to the db...it's like it doesn't show the original number.

and when i run the query using the number id for the new account she has and her old name, it removed "guest" from her old posts, but when i click on her name, it's says

QuoteThe user whose profile you are trying to view does not exist.

i've done this before, but that was back on 1.3 i think...
