Help!

Hi, I´m new here. And I just don´t get it - how to install the YaBB-files.

I have checked the webhost I´m using and they have "safemode" regarding the PHP. But I did choose the "not-safe" version when trying to download the files.

The exe and the zip files is OK - I have managed to download them. But the yabbse_1-4-1.tar.gz didn´t download. What on earth did I do wrong? And what is this file for?

And where do I find the "install.php"?

I´m all confused...believe me! Anyone that can help me?

Then download the safe-mod package and read the readme file...

The readme file which comes with the YaBB SE package would be a good start.

If you want to avoid problems during installation, use the safe mod version of YaBB SE.

You can find it inside the archives which can be downloaded on http://www.yabbse.org/download.php

The readme.html can be found inside the Safe-Mode zip file. I would definitely recommend starting there, as others have suggested.

The .exe, .zip and .tar.gz are alternative versions of the same thing (the .zip and .tar.gz are compressed). You only need one of them! ;)

Oh, Jesus. I´m really not god at this!  I did download all three of them...:D or at least two of them...

Starting all over..reading the readme-file - first of all.

Thank you all for your help!!! My guess is that I will be back - with more questions...puh!  ;)

If you use Windows, download the zip file IN SAFE-MODE and upload the files and read the readme...
